D's "E. A.", Part Five

You know how crazy things get the last couple of days leading up to a wedding?   Well, these guys had a great idea.   There were several reasons why the wedding was planned for a Sunday, based on who was free on which weekend, and when the pastor was available to perform the ceremony, etc.   When it came time to plan the rehearsal, they decided to have it on Friday and that would allow a day in between the rehearsal and the wedding to finish up last minute details.   I must say, it was nice to have the breather and the bride and groom had more time to enjoy all the events over 3 days, as well as time to visit with all the out of town family.

After the rehearsal dinner we went to the beautiful home of Julie and Rich to have dessert and blow off some steam.   Lemondrop anyone?  Laura, Drew and big brother Dave are toasting the start of a great wedding weekend.
Ok, everyone in unison now......ready?   Set....drink!   Then bite the lemon!
Hmmmm.......that's a little sour, I'm guessing.

Then the serious party moved to the basement:  Wow!   What a basement!  Time to cut loose....Rich is on guiltar and Drew on drums.
Everyone in the family got in on the action including Grant on guitar.   Laura came downstairs to help with the cymbals while Drew ripped on the drums.
Silly girls.  Laura's infectious smile and happy spirit kept us all going, even when it was way past this Grammy's bedtime!

Saturday we prepared food for the family cookout that Lynn had planned so her out of town relatives would have a chance to visit each other.   When the time arrived to leave for the park, I begged off to get some rest.   Ummm......I think I needed it as I slept over 5 hours while they were gone!   The driving and late hours had finally caught up to me, imagine that?  And I wanted to have a lot of energy for the big day ahead.

Tomorrow-The Big Day,
Debbie
