Jeepers

Can we have a moment of silence, please?    Sigh.....my camera died 2 weeks ago.   Well, it didn't actually die, the shutter just pooped out on me.   The camera guru told me the shutters are good for around 30,000 shots and he asked me how long I've had my camera.   I told him 2 years and he said that I couldn't have possibly shot that many pics in 2 years.   Ha!   He has no idea.

In just one afternoon I routinely shoot around 400 pics when we're up at the river.   It doesn't take that many afternoons to tally up 30,000 pics, does it?   Good thing they're digital and not film, wouldn't you say?   I'd hate to have to pay for that many pics to be developed.   Most of them get deleted while I play with them in Photoshop on the computer.

So, I wait......the parts have been ordered and they should be in his shop soon so he can put my camera back together again.    I had no idea how often I pick that camera up to take an impromptu shot of something ordinary or how much I would miss having it when it wasn't working.  Can't wait for my baby to come home!

Waiting with open arms,
Debbie

Just Like a......

.....breath of fresh air,
this rose was waiting outside my front door this morning to greet me on my way to the mailbox.
I had pruned the roses after the last frost and didn't expect to see any blooms for a couple of months so I was pleasantly surprised to find this one today.   If you happen to live in a cold climate, I'm not trying to rub it in, I just thought I'd share a glimpse of spring with you.    We're expecting another cold front this weekend, so temps in the 70's are a one day occurrance in January.

Hope you're staying cozy wherever you are,
Debbie
